Owned and managed by myself, Debbie Botterill, I
have been practising yoga since 1995 and qualified
in 2001 with Friends Of Yoga ( FRYOG).
The Om Studio is a purpose built yoga studio,
situated in Kingsthorpe Northampton. At the end of
a walled garden it is a relaxed and ambient space.
Many different workshops are held at the studio.

I hold a special interest in Mantra, chanting, and sound therapy which are reflected in my regular workshops.
My grounding in yoga is Hatha. I continue to develop new ways of exploring the bodies willingness to let go through
movement and flow within postures, moving away from form to formless at times. This doesn’t sit easy with this that
think in a linear way. Perhaps not traditional enough. Linear thinking likes repetition and structure, which formless flow
doesn’t provide in the same way. Finding a softening quality, this touches a deep place of inner strength. An
incredible supportive energy. A kind of as within so without feeling. It’s the energy of Tantra and Kundalini energy.
Nothing new in relative terms. Yoga that gives you the opportunity to explore within. As one moves into the softening,
one leaves behind the dense muscle body, moving into the energy body. Creating fluid flow with softness is the
challenge. Anandamaya Kosha ( bliss body) begins to reveal itself. How often do we really touch this place within
ourselves. It’s always there, it’s uninterruptible, undisturbed our own bliss essence, the virtue essence. This is the
place that goes beyond linear thinking into the exploration of the unknown. Where somehow all is known. Real life
truths. One could say that meditation takes us there and yes it can and does, that depends on the softening, it’s all in
the softening where the bliss is.
